Quantum AMC overweight on banking space

IV Subramanium, Director, Quantum AMC is overweight on banking space.

Subramanium told CNBC-TV18, "We are still overweight in consumer discretionary. We like some of the stocks in consumer stables. We are quite positive on the banking and finance space and our portfolio would generally be overweight in that segment."
He further added, "Clearly from a valuation point of view the areas we are not comfortable continues to be the engineering space and the pharmaceutical space. From a corporate governance point of view, real estate although prices look attractive but we are not comfortable in investing there. So if you take away these three you would find our portfolio fairly distributed among all the other sectors."
