Arindam Ghosh, MD & CEO of Blackridge Capital Advisors told CNBC-TV18, "In the banking space, our preference would still be for private sector banks because largely we believe that they are much better capitalised. The non-performing loan (NPL) issues are not as starking as we get to see as far as the public sector undertaking (PSU) banks are concerned and obviously there are no pressures of recapitalisation which most of the PSU banks are faced up with. So for the moment, we would like to stay away from the PSU pack."
"Within the private sector banking space, we have some of the wholesale funded banks, which have also got beaten down. They have extremely strong leadership and good management and they also make up for extremely attractive bets over a two-three year period," he added.
