SBI hikes base rate by 40 bps to 8%; stock gains

State Bank of India (SBI) has hiked base rate by 40 bps to 8% and BPLR by 25 bps to 12.75% effective January 3, reports CNBC-TV18. It touched an intraday high of Rs 2,846 and an intraday low of Rs 2,830.05. At 09:24 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 2,843.50, up Rs 32.45, or 1.15%.

State Bank of India (SBI) touched an intraday high of Rs 2,846 and an intraday low of Rs 2,830.05. At 09:24 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 2,843.50, up Rs 32.45, or 1.15%.

The bank has hiked base rate by 40 bps to 8% and BPLR by 25 bps to 12.75% effective January 3, reports CNBC-TV18.
 
It was trading with volumes of 28,184 shares. On Friday the share closed up 2.24% or Rs 61.55 at Rs 2,811.05. For more details click here
