Shah told CNBC-TV18, "One can probably go short in underperforming sectors like real estate stocks especially DLF and to an extent HDIL. So probably we will have to just wait for a short-term bounce and then go short because if the overall market reverses then maybe these stocks will also give a short-term bounce." DLF trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 5.67 per share. (Sep, 2010). The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 39.35. The latest book value of the company is Rs 75.58 per share.
