One can see higher level sin Oil India, says Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com.
Sukhani told CNBC-TV18, "Oil and gas is giving attractive bullish signals on the charts. The reason why it is not going up as much as it should have is because the broad market; the whole environment is dull and weak."
He further added, "Oil India, for the last four-five days was in a trading range. That trading range also coincides with a strong support level. Therefore, we have strong support, we have a bullish sector and we have a trading range. I would expect the stock to move on the upside."
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 617.40 and 52-week low Rs 431.00 on 18 January, 2013 and 16 May, 2012, respectively. Currently, it is trading 17.46% below its 52-week high and 18.24% above its 52-week low. Market capitalisation stands at Rs 30,633.89 crore.
The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 57.34 per share. (Dec, 2012). The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 8.89. The latest book value of the company is Rs 262.28 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 1.94. The dividend yield of the company was 9.32%.
