Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a key relief for tax-payers with differently–abled family members.

Section 80DD allows tax-payers to claim deduction on any amount paid for an insurance policy for maintenance of their differently-abled dependents. Parents or guardians of such individuals are eligible for this tax break.
