Delhi coaching centre deaths: Owner, coordinator held; probe finds no drainage system in basement led to incident
Absence of drainage system and safety measures, and use of basement for commercial activities in violation of norms led to the death of three civil services aspirants at a coaching centre in central Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar area, officials and students said on July 28. The Delhi Police on Sunday arrested the owner and the coordinator of the coaching centre -- Rau's IAS Study Circle -- and booked them for culpable homicide and other charges. Read more here

Google brings 1.5 Flash model to Gemini, new feature to combat AI hallucinations
Google has announced the integration of the Gemini 1.5 Flash AI model into its chatbot services on both web and mobile platforms. “With Gemini 1.5 Flash, you’ll notice across-the-board improvements in quality and latency, with especially noticeable improvements in reasoning and image understanding,” said Amar Subramanya, vice president, engineering, Gemini Experiences. Google has also introduced a new feature to further address hallucinations. Google will soon add the ability to upload files in Gemini via Google Drive or directly from your device. Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals IPO to hit Dalal Street on July 30
Delhi-based Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals, a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), has decided to launch its initial public offering next week on July 30. The price band for the offer will be announced on July 25. The IPO is a combination of fresh issuance of shares worth Rs 680 crore, and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 1.73 crore equity shares by the existing shareholders. Read more here
