Big scope in banking area, valuations super: Deven Choksey

In an exclusive interview with CNBC-TV18's Sonia Shenoy and Latha Venaktesh, Deven Choksey of KR Choksey Shares & Securities said that the market looks attractive now and is an opportunity to invest.

He said that the fall in the market is a blessing in disguise. It is a healthy fall. The current valuation of the market is tempting. Investors should look out for individual stocks which look good.

The future looks bright for the the banking space. PSU banks look extremely attractive at this valuation with major hurdles disappearing. The RBI has allowed banks to convert their loans into equities which would reduce pressure on them, thus helping them grow, he said.

He believes that after this downfall, gradual growth in the market would be seen which would be beneficial for the investors. The market is giving everyone an opportunity to invest and one should have confidence in the market.
