India in trouble, recession may recur in US: Ruchir Sharma

Markets worldwide have been quite tricky over the past many weeks. But, does this indicate that we are at the cusp of the bear phase for global equities? Well, at least Ruchir Sharma, global head of emerging markets at Morgan Stanley Investment Management believes so. He sees the bear market regime coming over the next few months.

Not ruling out the fact that sub 1000 S&P levels are possible if crisis in Europe worsens, he said, "In every third year of economic recovery there is a relapse, which typically lasts for 12-18 months. But this time, the mode is not as sever as the first downturn," he told CNBC-TV18
