Sandeep Singal of Emkay Global Financial Services expects Sensex to be in the range of 14,500-16,500 for about one year. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Singal said that Emkay Global is neutral weight on sectors like telecom, auto and underweight on power, construction, infra and metals.
He further suggested that, once Sensex goes to about 14,500 levels then one can convert overweight position into defensives to buy into deep cyclicals. Also, if one is around 16,500 or plus then can move back to defensives. "This is the kind of strategic portfolio managers needs to adopt to play out next six to nine months," he added.
