No more significant downgrades to India Inc: Crisil

Roopa Kudva, managing director and chief executive officer at Crisil tells CNBC-TV18 that she sees the pace of downgrades exceeding the pace of upgrades in the current environment. However, there is no need to press the panic button since she does not see any significant downgrades to companies hereon.

With the economy struggling to keep its head above the waters, India Inc has been constantly facing threat of drowning. Roopa Kudva, managing director and chief executive officer at Crisil tells CNBC-TV18 that she sees the pace of downgrades exceeding the pace of upgrades in the current environment. However, there is no need to press the panic button since she does not see any significant downgrades to companies hereon. Crisil has upgraded 300 companies and downgraded 200 in the first half of FY12.


As guidance and ratings slid down, so did investment sentiment.
