Women, youth eager to enter textile sector: KS Rao

He says the textile industry in India has a lot of export potential. Japan imports 96 percent of their requirements, he says. India needs to grab such markets.

During the ongoing Textile enclave 2013, textile minister KS Rao said both youth and women are eager to come into the industry in a big way. According to him, all they need is skill training and the government is ready to spend any amount of money to provide them with the same to become more competent and efficient.


He says the textile industry in India has a lot of export potential. Japan imports 96 percent of their requirements, he says. India needs to grab such markets. Currently the country is dependent only on Europe and the United States for its exports.
