Merck Dec-qtr net up 25% at Rs 18 cr

Drug firm Merck today reported a 25 percent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 18.20 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 14.56 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Merck Ltd said in a filing to BSE.

Standalone total income from operations rose to Rs 251.54 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 237.48 crore for the same period year ago.

In a separate filing to BSE, Merck Ltd said its board has recommended a dividend of Rs 11 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the year ended December 31, 2016.
