IIFL expects steady Q2 numbers for HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank is set to announce its Q2FY18 numbers today. Rajiv Mehta of IIFL Wealth Management shared his views and outlook of what to expect from the numbers.

I am not expecting any surprises, I am expecting a steady quarter. If there is a surprise then I will be slightly shocked, he said.

Seasonally Q1 sees higher flows of non-performing assets (NPAs) from retail and agriculture, he added.

I am expecting Q2 to have a lower element of surprise, said Mehta.
