Andhra Bank expects net interest margin above 3.5% ahead

Andhra Bank has announced its fourth quarter results. R Ramachandran, Chairman, Andhra Bank says, the bank’s net interest margin (NIM) has been 3.8% for the year gone by. “We certainly will be able to hold 3.5%, we expect it to be certainly above 3.5%,” he adds.

Andhra Bank has announced its fourth quarter results. The bank's Q4 net profit was up 30.41% at Rs 313 crore versus Rs 240 crore, year-on-year, YoY.

Its net interest income (NII) was up 16% at Rs 762 crore versus Rs 656 crore, YoY. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, R Ramachandran, Chairman, Andhra Bank says, the banks recorded a robust growth in advances of around 27.69% on year-on-year basis. He further says, the bank
