Idea Cellular has declared its first quarter results. The company's revenues came in much higher than expected and quite strong at 6.7%. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) margins were also strong at 26.6%.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Himanshu Kapania, managing director and chief executive officer, Idea Cellular said, there is a component of amortisation which was up till now not being charged to books of account.
