Sunil Munjal, Joint Managing Director of Hero Motocorp says his company is taking a calculated risk on the 600-cc bike, and is confident of emerging a winner. “I am not the one who likes to live in a comfort zone; I keep challenging myself and those in my team all the time,” Munjal said in an interview to Ronojoy Banerjee of CNBC-TV18, at the 12th Auto Expo, where the model was unveiled.

Speaking at the same event, CV Raman, Executive Director Maruti Suzuki, said the company would be gauging responses from the Auto Expo audience to the two sedans—Ciaz and S-Cross—the company is planning to launch shortly, take into consideration some of the feedback and then launch the models. He said the slowdown in the auto sector was likely to continue for some more time, even as he was hoping that the Expo should revive buyer interest.
