Tata Power's renewable energy portfolio reaches 3133MW in FY17

Tata Power today said its total generation from renewable energy sources has reached 3133 MW this fiscal year.

Tata Power today said its total generation from renewable energy sources has reached 3133 MW this fiscal year.

The company's non-fossil fuel portfolio comprises 693 MW of hydro, 990 MW of solar, 1074 MW of wind, and 375 MW of waste gas based generation.

"Taking a step further towards building a greener portfolio last year, Tata Power revised its share of non-fossil fuel based capacity up to 35-40 percent by 2025," the company said in a statement issued here.

The company has renewable energy projects in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan and is currentlt in the process of implementing nearly 500 MW of renewable power projects at various locations.
