Infosys rejig to sharpen focus on clients, sales effectiveness

These units will be headed by 'industry heads' who will have end-to-end responsibility of their units and will report to one of the presidents. Mohit Joshi, Rajesh Murthy and Sandeep Dadlani will supervise these heads.

Infosys last week in a press conference post its quarterly results and had announced that it has reorganized its businesses into smaller units that will be headed by ‘industry heads’.The rejig will help Infosys sharpen its client focus and sales effectiveness. It is also looking to build the next line of leadership, sources have told CNBC-TV18.These industry heads will have end-to-end responsibility of their units and will report to one of the presidents. Mohit Joshi, Rajesh Murthy and Sandeep Dadlani will supervise these heads. Sources further say that the company has split its financial services into four units, which will be headed by Jasmeet Singh, Ajay Vij, Kannan Amaresh and Andrew Groth. Sangeeta Singh will head its healthcare & life sciences business. Energy, Utilities, Communication & Services has been divided into three industry units. Manufacturing & Hi-Tec, Retail, CPG & Logistics (MRCL) split into five units. Hi-Tech business is to be headed by Anand Swaminathan, sources say, adding that MRCL will be headed by Dinesh Bajaj, Madhu Janardhan, Nitesh Bansal and Karmesh Vaswani.Watch video for more...
