IndiGo will offer travel vouchers worth Rs 10,000 to passengers who were severely affected by the flight disruptions on December 3, 4 and 5, the airline said in major development on December 11.
The vouchers will be in addition to refunds and the government-mandated compensation that the airline had to pay the customers for delays and cancellations.

"IndiGo regrettably acknowledges that part of our customers travelling on 3/4/5 December 2025 were stranded for many hours at certain airports and number of them were severely impacted due to congestion. We will offer travel vouchers worth Rs 10,000 to such severely impacted customers," the airline said in a statement.
The domestic carrier said the vouchers can be redeemed for any future journey with IndiGo in the next 12 months.
IndiGo said it has already initiated the process of refunds for all the cancelled flights. The refunds should reflect in the customer's account now, with remaining to be done shortly. The refunds for tickets booked through travel platform partners have also been initiated and should reflect soon, the Gurgaon-based airline said.

"This compensation is in addition to the commitment under the existing government guidelines as per which, IndiGo will provide compensation of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 depending on the block time of the flight, to those customers whose flights were cancelled within 24 hours of departure time," the airline said in the statement.
Meanwhile, IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, has been summoned by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to submit a comprehensive report, including data and an update on the recent operational disruptions, and will appear before the regulator at 3 pm on Thursday.
The airline, in a statement, said that it is "expecting to operate over 1,950 flights on Thursday." The airline operates over 2,200 flights per day across its national and domestic network under the ongoing Winter schedule, which the government has already reduced by 10 per cent to help the carrier "stabilise" its operations and minimise cancellations, which touched 1,600 on December 5.
Last week, IndiGo's failure to implement the Flight Duty Time Limitations norms led to a major aviation crisis, with several thousand flights being cancelled and delayed. The stock of the company has taken a massive hit since then.
