CESC’s order win in Bikaner for an electricity distribution franchise, is going to fetch the company around Rs 350 crore in revenues, says the Chairman of the company Sanjiv Goenka. The Bikaner project is likely to become profitable by the end of second year of operation, he says.The Bikaner and other two projects (Kota and Bharatpur), will bring total revenue of about Rs 1,200 crore for CESC, says Goenka. He adds that the aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses at Bikaner is at 24.5 percent, better than other parts of the state and expects to bring it down substantially in the next three years.The company has started 170 megawatt (MW) of electricity supply to Noida and power purchase agreement (PPA) of another 200 MW is in advanced stages, he says.He further adds that the company is not looking to sell Firstsource, its subsidiary which recently won a big order from UK-based Sky.Watch video for more.
