Aurobindo Pharma clears USFDA inspection for Unit-11

Viswanath PillaMoneycontrol BureauAurobindo Pharma on Tuesday said it has successfully completed US FDA inspection of its Unit-11 plant in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh with zero observations.The USFDA inspection was concluded today, said spokesperson of the company.The Unit-11 plant produces non-antibiotic active ingredients, is used for both the captive purpose of Aurobindo’s formulation manufacturing and for supplies to external customers.The US formulation business contributes 45 percent of Aurobindo’s total revenue Rs.13,890 crore.Shares of Aurobindo rose 2.01 percent and were trading at Rs.683 on BSE at 2.30 pm, the benchmark Sensex was flat at 28,662.17 points.
