Yesterday proved to be a double whammy for Idea Cellular. Apart from the fact that roll-out rights for 2G in the Delhi circle first went to Tata Teleservices, the Delhi High Court also slapped the telecom major with a fine of Rs 1 crore for not giving correct information on its merger with Spice. CNBC-TV18 learns that Idea may now seek to appeal against the verdict and the board is likely to meet this week to finalise the decision.
