NTPC expects to add 4500-5000 MW capacity this year

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD of NTPC said, the company expects to add 4,500-5,000 megawatts (MW) capacity this year. “We need to add 5,000 MW each year to achieve 12th plan target,” he added.

NTPC is confident of achieving its target for the 12th Year Plan. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Arup Roy Choudhury, Chairman and MD of the company said that NTPC has a capacity addition programme to get to about 66,000-70,000 MW by the end of 12th Year Plan.
