Prakash Maheshwari, director of Cheslind Textiles, in an interview with CNBC-TV18's Reema Tendulkar and Ekta Batra, spoke about the recent happenings in his company and the road ahead.
Below is the verbatim transcript of the interview. Also watch the accompanying video. Q: Can you talk about your revenue growth of around 50% this quarter? Can you go through the highlights of this particular quarter?A: Particularly for this quarter, the revenue has gone up compared to last quarter of the same year from Rs 16.72 lakh to 18.19 lakh. The major jump has come due to the increase in production.
We have done de-bottlenecking in all production processes. The production for the year, as a whole, has gone up by 14% and the cash profit is up by 237%.
Another reason for the jump in revenue is because we have concentrated on export during our first nine months of the year. However, due to the government policy of restriction on cotton yarn export, we did more sales in the domestic market. Q: You have already ramped up your production by about 14% in the year gone by. How would your production increase in FY12? What do you have to say on the export front? How much will it contribute going forward?
A: Looking forward, we are modernising the facility. We might invest approximately Rs 10 crore. The production is likely to go up by another 10%. The topline for the next year should be about Rs 225 crore from current Rs 185 crore.
