RGCOM upgrades undersea cable system

Reliance Globalcom, an arm of Reliance Communications, today said it has upgraded the capacity of its undersea cable system connecting Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Far East to over 500 gigabytes/second with a view to usher in a "bandwidth revolution" on the route.

Reliance Globalcom, an arm of Reliance Communications, today said it has upgraded the capacity of its undersea cable system connecting Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Far East to over 500 gigabytes/second with a view to usher in a "bandwidth revolution" on the route.


In a statement, Reliance Communications announced the "... commercial launch of the upgraded capacity on Flag Europe Asia (FEA) and FALCON Cable Systems to over 500 GB."
"The upgradation in the undersea cable system would usher in a bandwidth revolution on the route connecting Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Far East," it said.
The Flag Europe Asia Cable is integrated with the FALCON Cable System and inter-connects 23 countries.
