Omkar Speciality Chemicals has forayed into the pharmaceutical space after acquiring LASA Laboratory. Pravin Herlekar, the chairman and managing director of Omkar Speciality Chemicals says LASA Lab is an attractive buy for the company as it is an established player in the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) segment.
Shelling out approximately Rs 6 crore to acquire LASA Lab, it will initially focus on continuing the existing API business. Looking ahead, Herlekar says,
