Vikram Akula steps down from SKS Micro board

Vikram Akula has stepped down from SKS Microfinance board, reports CNBC-TV18. Meanwhile, Ravi Kumar is all set to takeover as the interim non-executive chairman of the company.

Vikram Akula has stepped down from SKS Microfinance board, reports CNBC-TV18. Meanwhile, Ravi Kumar is all set to takeover as the interim non-executive chairman of the company.


The independent directors of SKS Microfinance have not been too happy with Vikram Akula because of his interference into the operations of the company and have also sort his resignation. There have been some reports that he had some differences of opinion with the current chief executive officer, MR Rao.


The board meeting was held to decide whether Vikram Akula will stay on in SKS Microfinance and assume a non-executive role.


After the announcement, Dilli Raj, CFO of SKS Micro said,
