Co-founder and ex-executive chairman of technology major MindTree Ashok Soota on Tuesday launched his new venture Happiest Minds Technologies. Soota exited MindTree in what is been seen as an abrupt move.
"The new IT services firm will have six areas of business including IT services, research and development, software product engineering, remote infra, testing and consulting," Soota, who would be the chairman and managing director of this new enterprise said. Though the venture is adequately funded for now, Soota said he could look at VC funding or partial stake dilution in the next three months. Clearing the air about his intentions give a tough fight to MindTree in the IT space, he said, "I have not signed any non-compete and non-poaching clause with them."
