Cabinet panel to meet this week to decide on next Sebi chief

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has empanelled three members outside the government to find the next Sebi chief.

A Cabinet panel- led by Cabinet Secretary , will be meeting this week to take a call on the next Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) chief as current head UK Sinha will retire on February 17, 2016.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has empanelled three members outside the government to find the next Sebi chief.

Of the three members are Rajiv Kumar, senior fellow, Centre for Policy Research and Manoj Panda from Institute of Economic Growth.
