Infosys, India's No. 2 software services provider, said it was being investigated in Texas over its sponsorship and use of US business visas, reports CNBC-TV18's Kritika Saxena.
After May 23, the company has been complying with the US district court and has submitted all the required documents including the B1 Visa details to the court. In a recent meeting with the US attorney office, Infosys has been informed that employees and the company can come under investigation. This statement came out in the US Securities and Exchange Commission filling by Infosys on Wednesday. Infosys clearly outlines that they will co-operate with the US attorney office. They have submitted all the required documents and whichever employee or management does come under the scrutiny or whichever kind of details is required will be complied with. Infosys has again reiterated that whatever the outcome would be of this particular case and whatever investigation the US Attorney Office does come with will not have any adverse impact on the company as such. Simply put, this is an investigation is happening in context to the subpoena within the US Attorney Office.
