Buy Torrent Power, advises Mitessh Thakkar

Mitessh Thakkar of miteshthacker.com told CNBC-TV18, "Buy Torrent Power with a stop loss of Rs 210 for target of Rs 235."

"I think on the long side I would choose Wipro. Despite the fact that it is a low beta stock and has not done much I think it has kind of managed to hold on into a sideways consolidation. It is doing a range of about Rs 298-285. Once we start getting past Rs 300, we could have some kind of trading upside. So, that is the only stock I am comfortable carrying long positions or trading on the long side."

"Apart from that some of the midcap names do interest me. I think Aptech has had a good rally after a pull back, I would want to look at that as well. NIIT Technologies is of interest to me but if it starts getting past Rs 520."

At 15:12 hrs Torrent Power was quoting at Rs 216.55, up Rs 5.55, or 2.63 percent. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 219.00 and an intraday low of Rs 207.70.
