As the countdown begins for the opening of Apple Saket in Delhi on April 20, the air is charged with anticipation and enthusiasm. Fans of the tech giant can hardly contain their excitement, eagerly waiting the moment when they can immerse themselves in the quintessential Apple Store experience.
Moneycontrol spoke to the first person in a long line of fans queued up outside what will be Apple's second store in the country waiting to meet CEO Tim Cook and have the first experience of the store.
Madhav Mimani, who claimed to be second in the queue for the BKC store launch, managed to be the first person in line for the Saket launch.
"I have been waiting outside the mall since 7 pm yesterday (April 19). I have been bitten by mosquitoes but it has been worth the wait," Mimani, who runs an e-commerce business based in Rajasthan, said.
Mimani shared his excitement about meeting Cook and mentioned his eagerness to personally convey how Apple products have had a transformative effect on his life.

Mimani plans to buy an Airtag and get it autographed by Cook.
Apoorv Roy, second in line, has a unique haircut for the launch event. He has an Apple logo designed on the back of his head. "I wanted to do something hatke," said Roy, who wanted to do something different.
"I cannot describe it in words. We were there for the BKC launch and we made it a point that we make it for the Delhi launch," Roy said.
Roy said that although there are stores larger than the one in BKC, what really counts for him is the shopping experience (at the Apple store) rather than the physical size of the store.
Lakshya Chopra and his brother Luv, both from Gurugram, were carrying a teardown artwork of the iPhone 4S that they planned to get autographed by Apple CEO Tim Cook.
"I am really looking forward to meeting Tim Cook today and want to experience how Apple Retail performs," said Lakshya.
