Often times you may experience an unwelcome blemish on your face. It can be a stubborn pimple, dark spot, or acne mark, these blemishes can quickly affect your skin.  If left untreated or improperly managed, they can leave long-lasting scars or worsen inflammation. This makes proper care essential for maintaining clear, healthy skin.

Blemishes can arise from a combination of factors like hormonal fluctuations, excessive oil production, clogged pores, and external irritants. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, blemishes, including acne, can be a common skin concern, but with the right skincare routine and treatments, it’s possible to reduce their occurrence and maintain healthy, clear skin. Prevention and early intervention are key to managing skin blemishes.

Says Dr Anandita Sarkar, Medical Director at AAYNA Clinics & Clinikally, "Blemishes, especially those resulting from acne, often occur due to a buildup of dead skin cells, oil, and bacteria, clogging pores. Effective treatment requires a holistic approach, addressing both the skin’s surface and internal health."
