MTR @ 100: MTR 1924 is a signboard that people in Bengaluru see everywhere these days. Parampalli Yagnanarayana Maiya and his brothers started Mavalli Tiffin Room, or MTR as it is now known, a hundred years ago, in 1924. Apart from the hotel brand, it was the packaged food business that took the MTR Foods brand global. To start off MTR's centenary year, the team in Bengaluru announced that they are now the holders of the new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Longest Dosa in partnership with Lorman Kitchen Equipments. (Photo credit: Bindu Gopal Rao)
