Alia Bhatt, who has been busy shooting for her film Love & War, celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in style. The actress looked fit and fabulous in desi ensembles as she enjoyed the festivities with her family. Sharing the pictures, she wrote, “Love, blessings, and modaks.”
While she enjoyed sweet treats, here’s a look at her three outfits in the album and how they made her look spectacular…
Hot pink saree with floral motifs
There’s nothing that screams traditional like a rich rani pink saree adorned with embroidered golden floral motifs spread across the drape. Alia donned the six-yard crepe number gracefully, carrying its intricate ‘jharokha’ pattern with effortless ease. The meticulously detailed work on the palla added to the ensemble’s show and looked every bit regal and refined. Paired with a matching hand-embroidered blouse, Alia cut a picture of elegance in this saree priced at Rs 175,000.
Detailing the saree, designer Masaba Gupta’s Instagram handle read: “@aliaabhatt wears the ‘Patakha’ Saree in tones of the brand’s signature pink. Taking over 275 hours of embroidery work, the saree comes alive with the ‘Jharokha’ motifs using appliqué and patchwork techniques across the hem of the palla and delicate golden floral buttis all over.”
Cream kurta set with appliqué embroidery
From bright festive pink to an understated and classic cream kurta set, Alia proves that she can pull off different hues and styles with élan. This cream short kurta, featuring appliqué embroidery at the centre and an embroidered crochet hem along the border, was paired with a sharara embellished with similar work.
Priced at Rs 28,000, the actress carried the ensemble, designed by Masaba Gupta, beautifully with an organza dupatta adorned with a printed border and tassels.
Stripe embroidered kurta set
Alia looked casual chic in a picture she shared with her mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor, wearing a charming kurta set with yellow and white stripes. The geometrical style was highlighted with floral motifs, which enhanced the subtle beauty of the ensemble. It was styled with pants that added a playful touch with stylish embroidery on the sides.
The actress’s styling with a custom blue dupatta complemented the outfit perfectly. Priced at Rs 17,800, this one is from the brand Raji Ramniq.
