UPSC CDS 2 Result: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination II, 2025. The examination was held on September 14, 2025, for recruitment to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA).

A total of 9,085 candidates have qualified in the written examination and are now eligible to appear for the next stage, the Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews. The shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews for final selection to various defence academies.

How to Download UPSC CDS 2 Result 2025

Candidates can follow the steps below to check and download their CDS II 2025 result:

1. Visit the official UPSC website – upsc.gov.in.


2. Go to the ‘Examinations’ tab and click on ‘Written Results’.


3. Select the link titled ‘CDS II 2025 Written Result’.


4. Open the PDF containing the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates.


5. Download or save the PDF file for future reference.


6. Search your roll number in the document to check if you have been shortlisted.

Courses and Training Details

The qualified candidates will be considered for admission to the following courses:

• Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun – 161st (DE) Course, commencing in July 2026


• Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala – Course commencing in July 2026


• Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad – Pre-Flying Training Course [220 F(P)], starting in July 2026


• Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai – 124th SSC (Men) (NT) and 124th SSC (Women) (NT) courses, beginning in October 2026

The selection is provisional and subject to verification of original documents, including proof of age, educational qualification, and NCC certificates.
