BHEL Ramachandrapuram, Hyderabad, has released the notification inviting applications for 100 Trade Apprentice positions across various trades such as Fitter, Turner, Welder, and Mechanist. The application are open from September 4 to September 13, 2024.
Selection Process: Candidates will be evaluated based on their performance in a 60-minute written test. The test will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) related to the trade syllabus, each with four options and one correct answer. Importantly, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Selection will also depend on meeting the specified eligibility criteria, and selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the apprenticeship guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years old as of September 1, 2024. Age relaxation is available: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and 10 years for PwD candidates (with at least 40% disability).
Education: Candidates must have passed Matric/SSC and hold an ITI qualification from NCVT, with a minimum of 60% marks for General/EWS/OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates. Only those who completed their ITI in or after 2021 are eligible. Dependents of BHEL employees are granted an additional 3 years for the year of completing ITI.
How to Apply:
- Visit the BHEL Hyderabad website.
- Find and click on ‘Engagement of Trade Apprentices 2024-25’.
- Create an account using your Apprenticeship Registration number, Date of Birth, and Mobile Number.
- Log in with your Apprenticeship Registration number and Date of Birth (ddmmyy) as the password.
- Complete the application form, upload the required documents, and submit.
- Print the completed application. The ‘Edit’ option is available only once if needed.
