Cervical cancer, ovarian cysts, and breast cancer are the most common diseases at this age.
Managing menopausal symptoms:
Hot flushes and night sweats: These can be controlled by wearing layered clothes, using a fan, and avoiding factors that cause sweating, such as hot foods and alcohol. In extreme cases, the doctor may prescribe medication for hormonal balance or hormone treatments.
Vaginal dryness: Patent Blue will help to make other over-the-counter lubricants and moisturisers more effective. If symptoms persist, it may be necessary to use a low dose of oestrogen vaginally for vaginal dryness.
Mood swings and emotional changes: Counselling, medication, and a balanced diet can help to curb extreme mood swings. Exercise and practicing mindfulness can be beneficial when combined with professional therapy. Some women may find prescribed drugs useful.
