They are healthy fruits but contain high calories, which may lead to weight gain when taken excessively. These fruits are suggested to be used in a weight loss regime but in moderation. It is better to consume fewer high-calorie fruits and vegetables to manage the total calorie intake in the body. This method makes use of fruits in a diet that helps one lose weight and provides all the nutrients and antioxidants from fruits that are necessary for the body.

Following are six fruits that are healthy but should only be eaten occasionally if you are on a weight loss diet, as explained by Dr Radhika Awasthi, a nutritionist based in Delhi.
