Regular consumption of it has been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease and heart attacks. From an environmental perspective, butter production, especially from intensive dairy farming, can have significant environmental consequences, including greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, and habitat destruction.
