When Anushka Sharma said, "me and Virat are simple people, wanting to do simple things, don't embrace fame"

We don’t embrace the fame and the stardom.”The actress, known for her grace and grounded nature, was addressing the widespread fascination with her marriage to cricket superstar Virat Kohli, and the constant attention that comes with their high-profile lives.

At the time of the interview, the couple had announced that they were expecting their first child. But more than the personal milestone, what caught attention was Anushka’s clarity on how she and Virat navigate fame. “If someone were to have an insight into our lives, they would see that we are very simple people wanting to do very normal things,” she stated honestly.

While many see them as aspirational figures, Anushka confessed that she and Virat never viewed themselves as a power couple. “If we started to see ourselves that way, then there is something wrong in the nature of our relationship. It’s not even a thought that arises in our mind,” she shared.
