In a 2000 interview with Filmfare, Ajay Devgn clarified his relationship with Raveena Tandon, stating that she was merely a friend of his sister and that they were never personally close. Addressing rumors about Raveena’s alleged suicide attempt, Ajay dismissed them outright, calling it nothing more than a publicity stunt.
Ajay said in the interview, "Everyone knows that she is a born liar, that's why her silly statements don't upset me too much. But, this time she has gone too far, she has crossed the limits of decency."
"It's high time I gave her some advice. This girl must go to a psychiatrist immediately to get her head examined. Otherwise, she will land up in a lunatic asylum. I'm quite willing to accompany her to the shrink's office," he further added.
Ajay Devgn and Raveena Tandon were romantically linked in 1994 while working together in Dilwale, sparking widespread speculation in the tabloids. Their rumored relationship became the talk of the town, but things took a dramatic turn when Ajay allegedly left Raveena for Karisma Kapoor. Following their highly publicized split, the former couple engaged in a bitter exchange of words, making headlines with their feud.
While Raveena Tandon’s relationship with Akshay Kumar was widely known in the ’90s, not many are aware that she was also deeply in love with Ajay Devgn at one point. However, during that era, rumors swirled that Ajay ended things with Raveena after allegedly falling for another actress.
