Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone and Hema Malini have arrived at the venue for the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex on Thursday, May 1.
As per a paparazzo video shared on Instagram, Deepika and Hema Malini are seen walking towards the venue together flashing smiles.
Wearing a yellow saree with delicate orange and light green accents, Hema Malini radiates classic elegance. She wears it elegantly with matching jewellery and a green blouse, resulting in a sophisticated yet lively ensemble.
Deepika Padukone, meanwhile, dazzles in an elegant beige salwar suit with tonal threadwork and delicate embroidery. A sheer dupatta draped caressingly over her shoulder enhances the ensemble's subtle charm. The kurta is worn with matching tapered trousers that have cutwork at the cuffs.
Prominent actors such as Hema Malini, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal are set to attend the 2025 WAVES Summit.
The Waves event is scheduled to be held from May 1–4. The goal of the summit, which will feature speakers from the film industry, is to increase the potential of the media and entertainment sector, which generated Rs 2.5 lakh crore in revenue in 2024.
"Legends & Legacies: The Stories that Shaped India's Soul" is the title of the first session on day one, which will feature film legends Hema Malini, Mithun Chakraborty, Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, and Chiranjeevi. Akshay Kumar will serve as moderator.

Following this, at 2:30 PM, the focus shifts to the evolving face of Indian entertainment in ‘The New Mainstream: Breaking Borders, Building Legends’. Moderated by filmmaker Karan Johar, the session will feature luminaries such as director SS Rajamouli, music maestro AR Rahman, and actors Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal.
In another compelling discussion titled ‘The Journey: From Outsider to Ruler’, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will share their personal trajectories, with Karan Johar once again taking on moderating duties.
