In an interview with M9 News, Naga Vamsi shared that VD12, starring Vijay Deverakonda, will be released in two parts. He emphasized that the film was originally designed as a two-part project, with the script remaining intact, ensuring that the story is not compromised or stretched out for the split release. He mentioned, "We didn’t think of breaking it into two parts amidst production, but during the scripting stage itself, it was developed to be two parts."

Naga Vamsi went on to say, "Even if we don’t do the second part, that wouldn’t be a problem for the audience because the first part is full-fledged, and the ending is proper.” He added, “This isn't a diluted screenplay just for the sake of making a second part. It was a two-part cinema on paper. They are two different stories."

Directed and written by Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for Jersey, VD12 delves into themes of justice and redemption with a unique stylistic approach. Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
