Smriti Irani on Bill Gates’ special appearance in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2: 'He has never appeared in fictitious setting on any media platform'

Fans are ecstatic to learn that a new guest will be appearing in the next episode of the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi remake. Bill Gates, a philanthropist and businessman, will appear in the show.

Smriti Irani confirmed the report in an interview with CNBC-TV18. The actor-politician now emphasises in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha how the episode, which features the Microsoft co-founder, would promote the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's efforts on women and child care.

She previously served as the Union Minister for Women and Child Development, for those who are unaware. It was during her employment that she became associated with Bill Gates. Given that this season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 addresses a number of societal and women's concerns, she views Bill Gates' appearance on the show as a logical next step.

"The network and the production company promised that we would raise conversations in a classic storytelling setup while we were planning season two. We're pleased with our accomplishments over the last three months. We discussed topics like dowries, body shaming, ageing, workplace harassment, and false case issues. And now, we're taking up a very pertinent issue about the health of women and children," the publication cited her as saying.
