The first song from filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s much awaited film The Bengal Files is finally out. Titled Kichudin Mone Mone, the track isn’t just another melody, it’s a haunting reflection of one of India’s darkest chapters, Direct Action Day, August 16, 1946.

Vivek Agnihotri, known for The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files, is returning with what he calls the “final chapter” of his truth-telling trilogy. If the teaser and the hard-hitting trailer left viewers stunned, this song doubles down on that intensity.

The song is Sung and composed by Parvathy Baul, Kichudin Mone Mone carries the traditional Bengali folk essence. The song is layered with testimonies, visuals, and raw emotion—capturing the Hindu genocides that scarred Calcutta during that time.
