Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift has officially announced her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, sending fans into a frenzy. This will mark the pop superstar’s 12th studio album, arriving just over a year after the release of The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, 2024.
The singer revealed the big news on the New Heights podcast, co-hosted by her boyfriend and NFL player Travis Kelce, alongside his brother Jason Kelce. She said in the episode, “This is my brand-new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift said, prompting Jason to cheer in excitement and Travis to exclaim, “TS 12!”
However, Taylor has now shared the first look poster of her album on social media. She announced three limited-release tracks, which include It’s Frightening, It’s Rapturous, and It’s Beautiful.
She shared a glimpse of the album and wrote, “Pre-order The Life of a Showgirl: “It’s Frightening” Limited Release Deluxe CD now on my site. Available for 72 hours while supplies last. Album Producers: Max Martin, Shellback and Taylor Swift.”
She then gave credit to the photographers and wrote, “Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.” She penned similar captions for her other two albums while sharing the posters.
Fans can already pre-order it on vinyl, cassette, and CD via Swift’s official website.
However, Taylor also revealed the names of the 12 tracks on her album The Life of a Showgirl. The track names include The Fate of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter, Ruin the Friendship, Actually Romantic, Wi$h Li$t, Wood, Cancelled! and Honey.
Taylor will collaborate with Sabrina Carpenter for the last track of her album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The singer teased about the upcoming album during the podcast episode and suggested that The Life of a Showgirl has been inspired by the joy that being on the Eras Tour brought her.

She said, “This album is about what was going on behind the scenes of my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant.” “It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and so that effervesence has come through on this record. And like you said, bangers,” explained the singer.
Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl will be released on October 3.
