Bollywood actors are no strangers to public scrutiny, and cosmetic enhancements have long been a topic of debate—especially for female celebrities.
In a recent interview with Lallantop, actress Tamannaah Bhatia addressed the ongoing trolling and judgment surrounding cosmetic treatments, in light of recent conversations following the tragic death of actress Shefali Jariwala.
Speaking candidly, Tamannaah highlighted how individuals in the entertainment industry are frequently singled out for personal choices simply because their lives are in the public eye. “People need to understand that it is very easy to talk about people who are in the media glare. Because you know about their lives. There are so many people whose lives you don't know anything about, and you will never know also. In baton ke baare me hum bas charcha kar sakte hai. Isse hum kahi pahuchte nahi hai. I don't know how conclusive they are,” she said.
She further elaborated on how perceptions have changed in recent years, especially among younger generations, who are more open and accepting when it comes to cosmetic enhancements. “Gen-Z kids are quite open about it. Jo bhi process karate hai, they are open about it. Koi bhi judgement ke through guzarna nahi chahta. Wo kuch kahenge toh unpe ungliya uthengi,” she added.
Tamannaah also stressed that many people in the industry might not feel comfortable sharing their personal choices publicly, due to fear of backlash. “There is a lot of judgment on people who are in films. Wo shayad comfortable nahi hai apne life me baare me share karne ke liye.”

Her comments come after the death of Shefali Jariwala, who was found unresponsive at her Mumbai home on 27 June. While initial reports cited cardiac arrest, later sources suggested she had recently taken glutathione injections—commonly associated with anti-ageing treatments—raising questions about the possible risks involved.
On the work front, Tamannaah is set to appear alongside Sidharth Malhotra in Vvan: Force of the Forest, scheduled for a May 2026 release. She also stars in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series Daring Partners, alongside Diana Penty, Nakuul Mehta, and Jaaved Jaaferi.
