Agastya Nanda is in the news again, this time for the poignant and impactful teaser for his next movie, Ikkis, which comes out on October 2, 2025.
In Sriram Raghavan's war biopic, Agastya will play the valiant Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest award for wartime valour.
Suhana Khan, who debuted with Agastya in The Archies, showed her support by reposting the teaser on her Instagram stories, complete with sentimental emojis.
Many fans interpreted Suhana's gesture as a kind and supportive nod to Agastya's promising next step in his acting career, despite the fact that the two have been rumoured to be dating.
A moving letter from the Battle of Basantar, dated December 16, 1971, telling a father that his son has died in action, is read at the beginning of the teaser. The tone for the teaser is set by this emotionally charged moment, which is followed by eerie wartime silhouettes, grim battle scenes, and dramatic shots of Khetarpal in action, displaying bravery beyond his years.
Ikkis also stars Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat in significant roles and is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Director Sriram Raghavan has promised a grounded and sincere portrayal of Khetarpal’s story. “It’s not a comic-book hero version,” Raghavan told PTI, noting that the film will skip his early life and focus instead on the brief but heroic period as a young soldier who sacrificed his life for the nation shortly after turning 21.
